By God’s grace, the treatment was successful and I recovered significantly. My bowel control improved and I was able to go out after 5 years. An evangelist who prayed for me prophesized that she saw weakness in my legs but the Lord is going to restore me. Till then, I was unable to walk long distances and had to use wheelchairs at airports but I was able to walk comfortably during my return trip to the US and didn’t need a wheelchair after that.

Also, its common for patients on long-term steroid use to undergo joint replacement surgeries after but I’ve neither needed a joint replacement nor had any fractures so far (even though I’ve been treated for Osteoporosis since 2008). The Lord who promised me Psalm 34:20 in 2006 has been faithful until this day.

In April, I could feel that my Colon had healed as I was able to sit without pain after many years. I started learning some courses online and get ready to resume my IT career (I was running my own eCommerce business selling Electronic goods all these years).

In June 2019, a Colonoscopy confirmed that my Colon had healed significantly and only mild inflammation was present. All my doctors were amazed by my recovery.

He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, 11 as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many

I was even able to go out for a couple of long drives. It was our first vacation after 13 years and the first one for my son Cyrus!

I went to India again in Nov 2019 for a follow-up visit and by God’s grace my symptoms were stable without any major flare-ups for a long time. The Lord’s promise for 2020 was that it’ll be a year of financial restoration (Joel 2: 25).

Blessed with a job: I was desperately applying for jobs since Aug 2019 but didn’t get any interview calls since there was a long gap in my IT career. Also, my expectations for getting a job got lower after COVID-19 caused nearly 40 million people to file for unemployment in the US. But I was overjoyed to get a job offer in May 2020 in the same profile that I had worked 12 years ago. When I was very sick, I was praying only for recovery and didn’t even ask the Lord to resume my IT career. He blessed me with more than what I asked for. Jehovah Jireh had been our provider all these years and fed us just like He provided for Israelites in the desert (Deuteronomy 29:5).

My better half: The Lord blessed me with a wonderful life partner, Jessina who patiently and prayerfully carried the cross and supported me all these years. Her calm and composed attitude kept me smiling always whatever be the crisis we faced. The Lord gave her strength to single-handedly raise our son Cyrus for 10 years. My journey wouldn’t have been possible without her courage and resilience to fight the battle along with me.

The Lord heals in different ways. Some people experience spiritual healing instantly but for some, healing is a process. An Evangelist who prayed for me a few years ago said, “When you give glory to God, you’re asking Him to do more and do again”. Though I still have some difficulty when I go out, my doctors don’t push me for surgery anymore and I’m very grateful to the Lord for protecting me from this surgery that would have devastated my life. I remember the words that the Lord spoke to Moses in Exodus 33:19 and indebted for the Lord’s mercy that was shown to me. I believe the Lord who led me this far will continue to lead me, guide me and protect me for His glory and I’ll soon see complete deliverance from all my symptoms. Amen
